Hello
{!firstname}
Oops!
Only just made it with the newsletter this month -- where did May go
;D?!
I
love the way my business attracts clients from all over the world (both
online and in-person)! The wonderful power of the internet!
This
month lovely ladies have come to me from Singapore, Japan,
and Tasmania, as well
as from regional NSW and locally. It's been a good and busy month! Most
in-person clients have been looking for help with building a more pleasing wardrobe.
Of
course the ebook I'm collaborating on should help with this (see my update on progress below), but
remember giving your look a makeover is easier if you remember my "6
steps to style" approach (see the right
hand column on my website for the 6 steps).
See
my answers to more of your questions.
I'll
be away travelling (for pleasure) in June (the UK) and July (the US),
but I will try and get out small newsletters.
Enjoy this month's Style
Snippets. Until next month, all the best
PS I always welcome your feedback, so please
contact me with anything you'd like to see either on the website or in
this newsletter (reply to this email or use the Contact Me link below).
Personal Style eBook
Update
Well,
Jane and I (yep: Jane and Jane ;D) are making good progress on our
ebook collaboration. However, it's taking longer than we anticipated to
complete this project (doesn't everything take longer than you think?).
Last month I went to
Canberra (where the other Jane lives) for a photo shoot with 11 lovely
ladies who volunteered to be our "models" for the ebook. Jane had
picked them based on their style personalities.
The day was
great fun and we got lots of great photos too - you'll see the best of
them in the
ebook. Jane's daughter Hannah is a professional photographer and she
took the photos.
We're now going through iteration after
iteration of the ebook and we're also creating a couple a bonus
ebooks, for example one contains a style personality quiz and another
will have a list of shops where you can buy the looks.
Since I'm not back until the end of July the
new target is to release the ebook at the beginning of September.
If you volunteered to
review the
ebook when its ready -- thank you. I was
bowled over by the number of responses I got! I'll have to figure out some way to
choose the reviewers!
We now have a name for the ebook, it's
going to be: "Your Personal Style Formula". Do you like the name?
Building An Inspirational Wardrobe
When you've got the fundamentals of style
mastered (grooming, understanding your best colors,
and dressing to flatter your body shape)
and start to understand your personal style preferences (the subject of
our new ebook, see an introduction to personal style here)
you can have some fun giving your wardrobe a makeover.
One of my tips for this is to start
with a capsule wardrobe.
This is simply a mix and match wardrobe suitable for 1 or more
lifestyle areas in your life, such as work or socializing.
Another
way to make your wardrobe more interesting is to accessorize.
It
can also be the cheapest way to make your outfits seem fresh and "new"
again. This articie gives you some tips on
accessorizing. I also highly recommend the Accessory Magic eBook by Diana
Pemberton-Sikes for a definitive look at Accessorizing.
