At the end of March hubby, Kim, officially retired. Which for better, or worse, coincided with when Sydney's 'lock down' started.
He's recently commented that his wardrobe needs an overhaul, to make it more appropriate for his new, non-corporate lifestyle.
This got me thinking about lifestyle changes in general. And how we do indeed need to make sure our wardrobe keeps in-step with our lifestyle needs as well as our appearance and our personality.
With the COVID-19 lock-down most of us have had a major lifestyle change. There have been some funnies on social media about women getting excited about what to wear to take the bins out or to go food shopping. However, the reality is that with fewer places to go and no in-person get-togethers, we've been reaching for our more casual and relaxed clothing. Perhaps even been living in our exercise gear.
In April Pinterest reported the major trend (in the US) was for women searching for lounging outfits. I believe this tallied with an increase in sales of exercise and very casual lounge-wear. There were also strong sales of tops, for all those video work and social virtual meetings!
As we start to emerge from isolation you might find yourself reaching for smarter casual wear. Even if you're still in isolation, you might be over wearing super-casual outfits. If you'd like some inspiration for putting together casual and smarter casual outfits here are some articles for you:
