I never know what to wear to be cool and comfortable yet age appropriate (young looking 60s) in summer. Knee-length shorts recommended in style guides for older women look a bit lady-golfer for my style (natural, feminine) and my shape (short body, long thin legs, bit of a tummy) looks better balanced in shorter shorts with a longer, loose top over them. I don't work, so most of my wardrobe is casual.
